About this part

Perazzi’s flat hammer springs (top PN 166, bottom PN 165) take a set over thousands of rounds, lengthening lock time and dulling the trigger feel. A fresh pair restores the crisp, fast break the gun left the factory with. We also supply the coil-spring conversion (PN 6166) favoured by high-volume shooters for its longer service life.

Wound from correct spring steel and stress-relieved, our springs are cycle-tested before they ship. They’re a drop-in fit in the detachable trigger group — no fitting required.

Questions

How do I know my hammer springs are worn?

Common signs are longer lock time, lighter or mushy trigger feel, occasional light primer strikes, or inconsistent scores that track with round count. If the gun has fired many thousands of rounds on its original flat springs, a refresh is cheap insurance.

Flat springs or the coil conversion?

Flat springs (165/166) keep the gun exactly as designed and are the simplest swap. The coil conversion (6166) lasts longer and is popular with shooters putting a lot of rounds through the gun. Tell us your preference and we'll advise.

Will these fit my MX2000 / MX12?

Yes — the MX trigger group is shared across the MX family, so these fit MX8, MX2000, MX12, MX10 and High Tech. If you're unsure, send a photo of your trigger group.

Can I fit them myself?

Many shooters do, as the trigger group drops out of the action. If you're not comfortable, any competent gunsmith can swap them in minutes.
